More than 200 fellow bears make it all happen.

Greeting people at the door. Pouring drinks. Running the booth at Pride. Setting up and breaking down. Our volunteers are the reason this community feels like home, and there is absolutely room for you!

Where You Fit

Every Job Matters

Our volunteers are everywhere at our events. These are the areas where help goes, and the member portal breaks it down role by role.

Welcome and Check-In

Greeters, check-in, and Ambassabears. You are the first face people see, and the reason new members feel included from day one.

Setup and Teardown

Bring the event to life before members arrive, then pack up, move equipment, and restore the space afterward. Involves some semi-heavy lifting.

Bar and Food Service

Serving beverages and keeping members fed and happy. Bartending requires additional training, and food service experience is a plus.

Sales and Cash

Merchandise, 50/50 raffle tickets, bar payments, and card-to-cash exchanges. Trusted roles for volunteers who are comfortable with attendees and good with detail.

Community Booths

Represent BOSFL at community booth events and engage with thousands of people.

Photos and Social

Capturing the candid moments and the people that make BOSFL special, and keeping our digital spaces positive, inclusive, and on-brand.

Every Kind of Bear

We have committed volunteers, some who volunteer often and some who volunteer when they can. Some bring years of experience while others bring energy and enthusiasm.

All of them count! There is no minimum commitment, and no wrong way to help.
